Moving forward with our new and improved plan to test compliance, we are looking at some checklist products. I know Sheshenoff has one. We have a product from the ICBA that has nice checklists, etc.

Has anyone used the ICBA Compliance Working papers? If yes, have you had any issue with them, ie, have you ever found errors?

If you are using another product, what one are you currently using?

We have used the ICBA Compliance Working papers. While you can probably do just as well by creating a checklist from the FFIEC Examination Handbook, it was useful to not have to rekey a lot of stuff. I last used the ICBA workpeprs for a Truth-In-Savings review and they came in handy.

They are a full suite, get updated three times a year and renewals are relatively inexpensive.

Okay, I'm interested.

Are these workpapers worth the investment ($600)? Do you use them on each audit? Do they cover the majority of topics you need to cover?

In the spirit of cross-selling, would one of you be willing to share one sample so that I can see what the general format would be?

We will use them for Compliance Monitoring Program. Glad to see others are using them. You can save them and them type on the forms rather than just use a checklist and still have to type up papers.

I'm very pleased with the working papers. They help not having to reinvent the wheel and saves me a lot of time.

I am also very interested in ICBA's Compliance Working Papers. Would someone be willing to share? Are you able to enhance/add other items to the list?

Thanks!

I'd be willing to bet that sharing the workpapers is not allowed per their vendor agreement.

Would someone be willing to share?

Yes, I surely hope they meant are they worth the cost when asking to share - as in share a recommendation or other comment about the product and not share the vendor's product.

Yes, that's exactly right, rlcarey....we're trying to determine if they are worth it or not.

You cannot add items to the work papers. If I need to add additional items for review such as policy/procedure requirements, I normally just create another sheet for those items.
