Can anyone tell me if a fiduciary account should be treated as a consumer or business account? We are getting mixed answers from the branches and Deposit Operations.

Well "fiduciary account" means a lot of different things to a lot of people. There is no "should" regardless. It is up to the bank and what difference consumer versus business means at your bank. Different deposit contacts, different fees and charges, etc.

If you are asking about which box to check on a signature card, the answer is determined by what difference the classification makes within your bank; i.e. does it affect account types available, the applicable fee schedule, what? I have no idea why forms vendors put it on the card to begin with.
