I don't know if this makes sense or not, but considering I just finished my first public file and moved it to our bank's intranet, and also considering that having anyone ask for this is evidently once in a blue moon, meaning almost never, why have 2 public files, branch and main office? I'd rather just have the single more robust one. I think anyone asking for this is bound to be a community activist of some kind, or a government agency, and they will always want the main office file. And why make us include (and print if asked) stuff that is publicly available, such as our public HMDA data...

As for the stuff that has to be included and printed if requested, the fact that it's otherwise publicly available is irrelevant. If you get the rare request for a look at your public file, you provide it.

About a year a half ago we moved from physical binders in branches to a online Public File located on our intranet. Employees have been instructed to provide information when requested and notify me when a request has been made.

We have not had anyone ask in a branch, but I do receive requests via mail/email for information from the public file.
