Since my cordless mouse went bad I plugged in a new USB mouse. The little balloon pops up telling me that it is installing the new hardware and to click for more information. Ummm, if it's not done installing the mouse I ain't gonna be able to click nuthin'. And once am able to click, installation is complete anyway.

I liken this to the modem manual that tells you to log onto their website if you are having problems with the modem.

HA!!!...."Use caution, contents may be hot" (when removing from the oven). MAY BE HOT????? If I put it in the oven for 60 minutes it dern well better be hot.

We had our work Christmas party Saturday night. We really wanted to head down the street to where GoDaddy was hosting theirs though. They flew in Pitbull this year, apparently it was much better than when they had Snoop last year. We had a DJ though, and at least our roof wasn't on fire.

This time next week, I will still be in bed. But that bed will be in a villa in Oahu. And I will be on vacation for two full weeks.

There are a significant number of online businesses designed to store passwords, challenge question answers, and all sorts of other information for e-estate planning. I was just thinking about this type of thing yesterday. I wonder if they can also remote-wipe your browser history too. I was thinking about what would happen if I up and kicked it. My wife wouldn't be able to get into Netflix, change the utility billing, all sorts of nightmares! (she'd get over me passing, I'm sure, but not being able to watch her favorite shows would be a total bummer)

I also like that you can set up emails to go out after your death. I'd set them up for like 3 years later to go to people I didn't like with haunting, menacing comments.

This is an intriguing idea.

I was about to spend the rest of the afternoon writing postmortem menacing messages, but I remembered I don't know when I'm going to die. I guess I could just pick a date in the future when I won't care anymore whom I offend.

Yes, in the end, someone has to trigger things to go out, which is a bit of a flaw and requires someone that's either in the dark about the results of initiating that sequence, or someone as sadistic as you.

I saw services like this years ago. Most of them had a 'dead man switch.' The service would send you an email, text, whatever; and if you didn't indicate you were still alive (click the email link, for example) after so long it sent the messages automatically. I could see that backfiring terribly.
