What if all the texting and twitter way of writing (Wut R U Doing?) actually ends up making the English language better

Hear me out, English is kind of a weird combination of a bunch of other languages with rules that are inconsistently applied and letters that sound like other letters and have multiple sounds. What if we really did just start writing in the simplest way possible? What's the drawback to making it simple if it still gets the point across? Would it make the language easier to learn and actually help communication?


I dunno, i just had the half-baked idea while driving back from lunch.

SP you may be on to something!! My 6 year old is having a hard time learning to read. He likes firm rules that are followed every time. Unfortunately our language has LOTS of rules that are followed SOMETIMES. Poor kid struggles trying to understand how live and live are spelled the same and pronounced differently. Maybe spelling foneticly phonetically would simplify things!!
