I just came into this bank and apparently HMDA hasn't been touched since March ... I think my eyes may liquefy

A couple of lost denial/withdrawn loan packages are bedeviling me. Or, perhaps it should be said that the general unconcern with their appearance on the LAR without any supporting documentation is bedeviling.

I'm having a relatively easy time this year. Application are down about 50% due to refinances drying up. Bad for the bottom line, but good for my stress levels.

Ditto TMatt. I'm down 50% too but that still leaves me with about 1500 loans to pivot and scrub. I'm proud of myself for being more proactively diligent and doing quarterly scrubs last year. Boss just sold her house and is scheduled to close and move the end of February. So I need to get HMDA done and out asap so she can bless it before she loses her mind to selling/buying/moving drama.

HMDA is a four-letter acronym!

Not as involved this year as previously, when I headed a project to completely revamp our data collection and recording and reporting process. I spent 3 straight days one weekend (including the Monday after) with about 5 hours sleep each night, and pure data entry/verification the rest of the time. I thought I was going to lose my mind! And I only had to do so because other people had screwed it all up!

HMDA exam on-going over a period involving two HMDA peeps. I'm holding my breath still and want it OVER WITH!

On the positive side...no re-sub for 2013, so that is great news!

Almost have mine ready to submit. I always am a little leary to send.

Have the first mortgage stuff done, still have all the second lien junk though, which is quite a bit more and all the data is in a large stack of worksheets staring me down. Data entry begins tomorrow! Should finish with time to spare this year, unlike the last couple.

I am almost ready to submit ... hopefully by the end of the week. I am contracting with a different bank also so I get to do their HMDA scrub on weekends, too. I'm an idiot ....

I wouldn't say idiot, I would say you are a glutton for punishment.

I submitted mine yesterday. It was my first time submitting and it was really hard to let it go. But it was time because I am not sure what more I could do with it. I have already scrubbed, audited and edited check it multiple times.

Did you pack a lunch for it and tell it you'd pick up the edit report after school??

Dos - I've always thought about doing that for extra cash. And to get a taste of the consultant world.

Yeah, once you have pivoted, sliced, and diced the data in six different ways, there just isn't much left to do. Hard to let it go, but sometimes you just have to let it go and wait for the validation exam.

I must say "consultant cash" is nice ... but, I'm a pretty big fan of any type of cash

I submitted via email. That is how we have always done it. The last few HMDA exams we have had excellent HMDA reviews so I am a little nervous about screwing it all up. I submitted early just in case I did it wrong.

I submitted through the HMDA software and received my edit report via email.

OK, I am done with my scrub and ready to hit send...however I have FDIC coming in next week for HMDA validation so figured...why not wait until they leave on Wednesday so if they have any corrections I can make them prior to submission?
