I did not take the course, but someone from one of the threads here was nice enough to send me the material. I felt that the practice exam provided with the online course was VERY helpful in regards to how the exam questions were.

Good Luck to everyone taking the test! Yes I agree it was a vast amount of material to cover, but I learned a lot about BSA and penalties that I would not have known otherwise. The fear of the test was worse than the actual test for me but waiting to get my results was the worst part! Everyone kept asking me if I had heard anything and made me wish I hadn't told everyone I was taking it. I will say that conquering that test was so rewarding and made all of the long nights studying worth it. When I went to Compliance School there were several people taking the test at the end of the week. I felt so sorry for them because there is no way to cram that much information into a week. I studied for months and I was still nervous going in for the test. My former boss (at another bank) was my proctor which added another layer of anxiety.

I took the exam on March 12th. It seems for those who took the exam at a testing center receive preliminary test results right afterwards. I guess that is something new this year. The preliminary results stated I did passed but until I receive the official email with my results will I truly be able to celebrate. JLG, actually found out today that for those of us who took the exam on the 12th the results will be sent one day next week. I'm thinking that means Friday...

The MLA could since it is required by 10/16; however since HMDA doesn't change until 2018 I would say no.

peony, at our institution, we take the online course, which uses the reference guide as part of the materials.
