Hello Everyone,

This may seem like a silly question. We receive an email today from "hmdahelp frb.gov <notification@SecureEmail.FederalReserve.com>" --

It asks us to set up a username and password to receive a secure message. As far as I am aware there is no FederalReserve.com and all historic communication we receive is directly from HMDAHelp@FRB.gov.

Has anyone heard of this "secure" email FRB site or is this some weird type of phishing email?

Yes, There is a secure FRB site. They appear to be validating 2015 HMDA data. I just got a request to explain/verify that I submitted a loan that is xx% higher than the income reported. The request has a 24 hour response requirement.
