My financial recently was involved at an event where people stopped by and could enter a drawing to win a Safe Deposit Box with a year rent-free. My concern for this is that in essence, it is open to everyone, but they have to open the box and pay the rent after the first year. To me, this seems like consideration had to be given.

Second, they want to take all of those entrants and as a "thank you" for dropping by they can open up a safe deposit box for free if they have a checking account.

The second one doesn't scare me as much as the first, but perhaps they are both equally scary? Or may either are not scary at all. Please help.
