We have customer that passed away. He was the joint owner on a small savings account. This account also had a POD listed, different name from the remaining owner. Now a third person has come in with a copy of the death cerificate and a notorized Affidavit for Collection of Personal Property. I feel that the Affidavit is not valid as there is a surviving owner and POD on the account. Can anyone give some advice on how to proceed?
