How do you guys handle changes to corp. accounts such as Walmart? Do you require new signature cards be completed by home office or accept a letter stating who has authorization on the account?
Thank you

We have a change of officers / authorized signers form that needs to be completed by the corporate office. We have some commercial accounts where the corporate office does not want information about the account (balances, deposit amounts, etc.) given to the local staff so just allowing the local staff to make the changes is not acceptable to them.

On our form we collect everything we would need for CIP, even though we're not required to do so.

To add to the account, we require a letter the name and sample signature of the new officers/signers. This must be signed by a current officer of the company who has legal right to contract the business. To delete from the account, we require an entirely new signature card.

In our case a letter from our customer's home office states that no checks are written on the account and asks us to accept the copy of signers as replacement for the sig. card we have on file. Each signer has signed his/her name and provided title and telephone number and a resolution with signature and corp seal was also provided. Any other thoughts about how you handle? Thanks
