We get a floating Holiday. We also know our holidays off for the entire year.
The bank doesn't observe Columbus Day or MLK Day.

We get our holiday schedule in December of each year for the next year, so we know our days also.

our holiday schedule is published on a 3-year revolving list, so every January the previous year is dropped, it is updated for current, next, and following year.

....could be my bank doesn't publish it because they always observe federal legal holidays. If the floater holiday falls on a Sunday, the federal holiday is on Monday. If it falls on Saturday, the federal holiday is Saturday. Back in the day, if the federal holiday fell on Saturday, we DID close on Friday because that's what the fed did. Then the fed changed.

All three banks for which I have worked, always closed at noon on Christmas eve. It wasn't promised in writing, but everyone just assumed the closure would occur.....always did.

Our holiday list is published internally after the first board meeting of the year. It follows the Fed calendar with the exception of the days we close early or at noon and Saturdays, but only 2 of 7 drive up facilities are open on Saturdays - so that doesn't affect the majority of us.

Mon-Fri employees get nothing. Employees who work Saturday's get the holiday. The rest of us get NADA
