I represent a company with a new, unique product for banks and credit unions that we are planning to roll out shortly, but am trying to learn more about the financial services industry.
My questions are the following:
1) When you are making a capital expenditure, what are some specific criteria your vendor needs to meet?
2) What are your preferred methods of obtaining information (e.g. Tradeshows, periodicals, direct mail, direct contact from a sales representative, e-mail)? Can you please be specific on naming which tradeshows or periodicals?
3) What is your main criteria for making purchases (ROI, enhancement of customer experience, etc.)?
4) When are budgets for the upcoming year's capital expenditures usually set?
5) In short, how do you get a banker's attention?!!
