I attended a training which said the NMLS# should be included on ads. In the past we have not included the NMLS#s in the ads. If we have an ad saying we do real estate loans should we include our institution number? If we include the pictures of our RE lenders, should we include their numbers?
I looked at 1007.105 (b)(2) (b) a registered mortgage loan originator shall provide his or her unique identifier to a customer (2) before acting as a mortgage loan originator. Do you include the numbers on ads? Has anyone been cited or received a comment from an examiner about not having the institution and/or the lender numbers on ads?

It would be interesting to hear how the trainer at that session documented the requirement, because it doesn't exist unless state laws require it.
