How far off are we from this kind of news report?

25 million refrigerator users were found to be malnourished and dehydrated this Thursday due to a security breach. Hackers stole access rights to the refrigerators' settings and raised the temperature causing all of the food to spoil and the water dispensers to shut off. The victims were also unable to drive to the store for food and water because a concurrent breach shut down the ignition systems in their cars.

[Company] Refrigerators and [Manufacturer] Motor Company are reminding customers to reset their passwords every 90 days, to use strong passwords, update the firmware on their refrigerators and cars, respectively, and install and update anti-virus and firewall protection on their refrigerators and cars. Be sure your Caps Lock key is not on when setting your refrigerator's and car's password otherwise you will lock yourself out after three failed attempts.

The refrigerators and cars require the following minimum systems: iOS 9 or later, Android 6.0 or later, Windows 8.1 or later, or Linux Ubuntu 16 or later; Google Chrome 47 or later, Internet Explorer 11 or later, Microsoft Edge 16 or later, or Safari 10 or later.

After taking the above security steps, be sure to re-boot your refrigerator and car.

OK, this story is beyond horrific, beyond sad, and I absolutely cannot understand it. This couple need to be dealt with commensurate with what they did to this poor child. I don't have the words after hearing how the dad handled this and his apparent disregard, ugh.

On my package of almonds it says "Simple. Honest. Delicious." The packaging is pretty accurate as the almonds are tasty, not overly complicated and have not lied to me.

I've lived on the gulf coast for over 20 years, and have never heard that phrase.

Let me explain. Weather service warnings are Red/tornado Yellow/Severe TS and Green Flashflood Outlines are watches and solids are warnings.

Quite often they will have [usually an outline] green out OVER the water, Gulf/Atlantic...and it makes no sense to me...so I thought someone would know! !
