Just wondering if anyone has any good unique ideas for anniversary gifts for him?? I am not very creative, plus he is a picky man. He does a lot of craftsmanship, so anything handyman related might be ok but he seems to have everything! He doesn't like mushy lovey dovey things, so those are out of the question, and food really isn't a good idea either. Anyone get any gifts that were an absolute hit? I know everyone is different but thought I'd get some outside ideas It is going to be our 3rd.

Does he like to travel? If so - plan a trip and don't tell him where and make it be a surprise. I did that for my husband once - and he loved it.

the last couple of years I got my wife outdoors equipment that we can do together … snowshoes, archery … two years ago I made custom walking sticks (mine from black locust and hers from walnut) quite easy and essentially free.
she got me tickets to the home opener of the twins … can't beat that (even if it'll be in march in an outdoor stadium in MN)

I love the outdoor activity gift idea, I've been trying to think of something in that area too! We live close to the mountains where we can hike, fish, four wheeling, etc. We have all the equipment for that...I just really need to think.

He's a dude. I'm sure anything purchased with nature's credit card will be well received and appreciated.

If he likes photography, possibly a nice camera. Besides for the outdoors, he can use it for pictures of the child growing up (and you of course).

i'm not a fan of giving or receiving anniversary gifts...if the focus is to show someone how much you love them, no gift can do that. it is your daily actions that show it.

No golf, we fish a little, no hunting. I agree, Happy! Our first anniversary we took a trip (before baby was here), last year we bought a new washer and dryer. Maybe I will just have a chat with him and we can buy something together we both enjoy, or a necessity for the house instead. All the pressure for looking for a gift takes away from the enjoyment of celebrating our anniversary anyway. Surprises are fun though. We shall see!!

My sister bought her husband a meat smoker one year and he has been obsessed with it ever since.

I like experiential gifts - hire a babysitter and take him to a nice dinner. Plan a hike with a picnic, or take a day to explore some area or town you've never been to before. Gift of good memories.
