Are all banks required to do this?

That's one of the items eliminated in the revisions, If memory serves me and I think it does....but I'd intended on keeping it because it works well for 'unique ID' purposes.

I had contacted GMEI support previously and this is what they said:

The form is only to be required at time of Registration or Renewal and does not have to be filed retroactively, hence if you are not scheduled to renew anytime soon no action is required on your end at this point.

If you are renewing soon here's what you need to do:

1) Download the form via the following hyperlink: Authorization Form https://www.gmeiutility.org/Attachments/BEDBV_LEI_Authorization_Form.docx#

2) Print and complete the required data on the form, either as Primary Party (a representative of the Legal Entity or family of Entities) or Third Party (acting on behalf of the Legal Entity)

3) If you are establishing Requesting Authority for multiple Legal Entities, please list the entities separately.

4) Provide the contact information for the authorized person and sign the document.

5) Return the document in PDF or .JPG format to: Onboarding@gmeiutility.org who will manage this process.

What kind of 'supporting documentation' did your bank provide to authorize you to renew your LEI? I'm pretty sure the HMDA Officer is not going to appear on a corporate resolution for the bank.

Becca.....we basically didn't put any 'supporting documentation' with our form.....but it seems to have worked anyway. I got us renewed.
