A story from Politico indicates the OCC "isn't in any hurry to implement the latest (2020) overhaul of the Community Reinvestment Act"
ACTING OCC HEAD LEAVES ROOM FOR NEW COMPTROLLER ON CRA — Acting Comptroller of the Currency Blake Paulson on Wednesday said his agency isn’t in any hurry to implement the latest overhaul of the Community Reinvestment Act, given that a new comptroller is likely to have a different vision for the anti-redlining rules. The 1977 law designed to combat discriminatory lending practices by banks is expected to be an early focus for regulators in the Biden administration, including whoever is named as comptroller. “So we do intend to try to buy them some time and some space to bring in their own ideas and think about what they want to do,†Paulson said at an event hosted by the Consumer Bankers Association.â€
