Due to the extreme staffing shortages some of our schools are experiencing, we are considering allowing employees to sub at local schools. Many of the schools in our area are >50% FRL, but I don't know if we can argue subbing utilizes an employees banking expertise, unless the class is for economics or something related to business or banking. We'd really like to help out, even if we can't get CRA credit, but if I can find a CD hook, all the better. Any help would be appreciated.

Any service rendered by a volunteer employee must be done in their capacity as bank employees and must be either financial in nature or related to the professional expertise of the volunteer employee. Moreover, you need to show that the primary beneficiaries are students from LMI families.
