I have a situation:
We geocoded one address via FFIEC geocoding system. It has a perfect address match via FFIEC, but we know the location on FFIEC geocoding is incorrect. The reason we know is because we confirmed with customer and appraisal report and Google Map all indicated a different location (the location on appraisal report and Google map indicated the same location). The discrepancy between FFIEC vs appraisal/Google Map result in different census track.

My dilemma is: should I use FFIEC result since examiners use it that can provide us a safe harbor, or I should report the actual business location?

Appreciate any feedback!

I personally would use the correct geocoding, but retain a notation of why.

Also, have you tried re-geocoding since the FFIEC changed its geocoder?

@InFairness, I did use the new geocoder to run the address. It still showed the incorrect location. I will document it in file!
Appreciate your comments!

No geocoding engine is perfect. In fact, the technical documentation for the new FFIEC geocoding platform indicates a score of 98 or better is acceptable. If you have the proof that your geocoding is correct then retain the Google map and the appraisal and enter the correct geocoding for your submission.
