Good Afternoon. In the case of a temporary line of credit increase, which is in effect for 2 months out of the year, should we report the base note amount for CRA purposes or are we allowed to report the total amount including the increase? For example, a borrower is issued a note for $2,000,000, with a temporary increase to $3,000,000 for the months of May and June. On July, 1, the LOC is reduced to $2,000,000. Are we allowed to report the full $3,000,000?

Thank you!

You will get credit for nothing in your example because the loan or line exceeds $1 million and a small business loan cannot exceed $1 million.
If you were talking $200K increased to $300K you would get credit for the $300K amount,

I apologize....bad example. The one in question had a community development purpose.

In the example you proposed, you feel we'd be ok reporting the increased amount, even if only temporary? It seems logical, given the fact the borrower does have access to the increased line amount during the year.

Yes - time notes for 90 days would be reportable even thought that's pretty temporary.
