This is a first. I am looking at a loan that is secured by 10 detached dwellings that are on one parcel. The appraisal refers to this as a 10-unit apartment complex but can this count for affordable housing community development loan if the rents are below fair market rents? Didn't know if they had to be in one building or the fact that all units are on one parcel was essentially the same concept.

This doesn't qualify as multifamily affordable housing even if the rents are affordable because the structure as described is not a multifamily structure.

Len - under the new rule, would this qualify as naturally occuring affordable housing (assuming rents qualify as affordable)?

They are not mobile homes but rather small one bedroom buildings. They aren't cabins but kind of think of it that way.
