Does anyone have an example of a notice posted for this purpose? The regulation states "similar to the customer notice"....our customer letter included the regulatory agency, but wondering if this is necessary on the 30-day notice posted at the branch. Our basic plan is to include the date of closing and the nearest branch available for services, along with other general comments. Thoughts?

Where does it say to include the regulatory agency?

Review the institution's customer notification and details regarding its release and posting to ensure it was, or will be, provided at least 90 days in advance of the proposed closing in at least one of the regular account statements mailed to customers, or in a separate mailing. The notification should:

(1) state the location of the branch to be closed;
(2) state the proposed date of closing; and
(3) identify either the location where customers can obtain service following the
closing, or provide a telephone number for customers to call to determine alternative sites

Ensure a notice providing information similar to the customer notice has been or will be posted in a conspicuous manner on the premises of the branch to be closed at least 30 days prior to the proposed closing.

When we relocated one of our branches, the notice we needed to post in the lobby was an exhibit provided with the application we had to complete for the FDIC and also for the state. Both these notices had the FDIC address for any public comments to be submitted.
