Has anyone had any luck getting credit for bank sponsorship of events? I don't mean charity golf tourney or gala, rather industry conferences where a member of the bank speaks on a panel about economic environment or starting a business/raising capital for a startup or hosting networking opportunities for members of our community. Thanks!

We have received consideration, not for industry events like a conference, but service and investment consideration for hosting community events. For example, we participate in the CRA Resource Exchange (CREx) of Southern California, which is a collaboration of FI's and CBO's which hosts events to facilitate capacity building opportunities for CBO's and CRA qualified activity for FI's (grants, services, or loans) with a networking event and two 'pitch-fest' events a year.
