We normally add the disclosure "Subject to Credit Approval" to all our loan advertisements. We are in the process of creating a commercial loan advertisement and the loan officer wants that line removed. I don't believe it's a requirement under any regulation, but I have been told by reviewers that we should have that statement on our loan advertisements. I don't know a lot about commercial loans, is there any reason why this disclosure shouldn't be on the advertisement?

Thanks!

So, in other words, the loan officer is saying they approve every application received for this specific commercial loan product? Since when do loan officers make advertising decisions?
