Scenario: Jim Bob's Auto Repair Inc made a cash night drop deposit that requires a CTR. Jim Bob owns the business and signs on the account.

Jim Bob is also a signer on a personal account (with 2 other people) that had a $500 cash deposit the same day, conducted with a teller.

Since the large deposit was night drop, there's no conductor. Does Jim Bob get included in the CTR because of the $500 deposit? And do the other signers on the personal account?

Sorry for the brain fog.

Jim Bob did not conduct transactions in excess of $10,000 (unless you have knowledge that he made the night drop) and he did not have more than $10,000 conducted on his behalf.

Deposits to corporations are on behalf of the business, not the business owners or signers.

Thank you Brian. That's what we thought too, but somehow in the fog today it just didn't quite make sense!
