Can you use "non-profit organization" on line 13 of the CTR for Kiwanis Clubs and Elks Lodge accounts? To me it should be more specific but I am unsure of the correct language. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I would think the correct terminology would be Civic Club for the Elks or Kiwanis. However, doesn't that particular line ask the profession of the "person" making the transaction, not the profession of the account that is affected?

Line 13 asks for the occupation, profession or line of business of the beneficiary listed in section A, not the person who is bringing in the deposit. I personally use "fraternal organization" when completing CTR's for a local Elks club but any such phrase would be appropriate.

I agree with Anon...The occupation to be listed on Line 13 is that of the beneficiary of the deposit, which is the person/organization listed in Section A.
