We want to start sending past due notifications on our safe deposit boxes. Does anyone have sample notifications they could share? I.e., first notice, second notice, final drill notice. Also does anyone have any internal procedures they could share as to when the box is drilled and the material is sent to the state?

The bank I worked at before had very detailed explicit procedural requirements. This bank has never sent late notices and/or drilled boxes before so I want to try to start us out right.

My favorite past due notice reads "we have debited your checking account for $ for the annual rent on safe deposit box ###. Thank you."

The second notice is then moot.

However, I would make sure you don't return any checks on the account for a week or so.
