What is your practice? If someone withdraws from a CD or deposits to a CD, at maturity or during the grace period, do you reissue a new CD with a new account number for the new amount?

That is purely an operational decision that would be mainly based on your deposit platform system. As most CDs are nothing more than a piece of paper that serves as a receipt, I don't know why issueing a new number would be that important.
