My relationship is about to end. I am thinking of perhaps living a nice life of seclusion after it does.

I know it's not too late, but I was going to use this opportunity to tell him how weird I think he is. I say that now though, and it wont happen. I could go up there this weekend and never talk to him again. Yeah, that's the ticket.

This is where the problem lies. When women think that us men are just a ticket for free food and some fun for a night. Then they wonder why guys act like we do most of the time.

Guys really don't have it that bad...do they?

After a day or so of my guy sucking up for his stupidity Monday night, I did make him a very nice supper last night and followed up with a movie.

My mom always taught me to never let a guy pay because he'll expect something. I know we're going to a movie, and I'm probably going to make dinner--DARN low carb diet!!

My mom also taught me how to cook so if I cant get a guy because I'm so cute, I can get him with my cooking LOL I havent fallen back on any of my skills yet. There's still my bow hunting skills to use too.

You have to watch out for not allowing guys to pay for a first day or something that they want to because some then think you are too controling or some get their feelings hurt. I guess it all falls back to the stereotype that guys have to pay. But I guess it is always a nice gesture to offer but have him refuse.

Cooking does get to a man's heart and also to a woman's heart as well. Food works wonders!!!

Very good point Saphire. If he continues to be a jerk though I'm not against using my kick boxing skills on him. Like I said before, he's either hot or cold, so maybe this will be one of the weekends that he's not a jerk.

On our first date that we had, he bought my beers, then the next time we went out I bought lunch and coffee, and he got his man feelers hurt. Since he didnt like me paying I let him pay for dinner. I'll offer to pay if we go out, but I know he will.

well, at least he likes to pay. My ex hated to pay, he would conviently have to go to the bathroom when the bill came, or he would say that he left his card at home. Dumb excuses like that. There were even times he said, you buy dinner and I'll get the movie...

Ok, guys are butts! After the big fight on Monday night, not speaking on Tuesday, Wednesday was spent with him sucking up, I cooked last night and all was well this morning.

Well...now he doesn't know if he wants me to come down tonight and is pretty sure he'll be too tired to come up...he wants to be up early to go fishing tomorrow. He knows I have plans tomorrow night (volleyball tournament) and Sunday (family) so this would be our only time to spend together this weekend. I have the kids next weekend so it would be the weekend after that before we would be able to go out.

What is it with the hot and cold thing?

Tell him you're busy tonight! Go out with some friends and have a wonderful time without him. If he thinks you can live without him, you won't be able to get rid of him!

Anyone ever read that book "He's just not that into you"?? Or something to that affect? Good book and it refers to some of these things you are discussing. And how could someone who is going out to eat conveniently leave his card at home? There are two extremes. Him paying for everything and getting his feelings hurt if you pay. OR, you paying for everything and he never pays. If you both care about each other it should be 50/50 or better yet it shouldn't matter who pays just that one person isn't always paying.

That's what started the fight on Monday night. I've got a large group of friends...a handfull of which are single guys. If they call or if they're out where I am...this guy gets jealous. I pretty much told him he wasn't my boyfriend, he couldn't tell me who I could or couldn't talk to on Monday night. This brought about the silence on Tuesday and the sucking up (on his part) on Wednesday.

I may just go out to my new house (I get to move in next week) and clean. At least I would be productive.

Oh, and I have read the book...I know he's just not that into me. Now can someone tell me why I put up with it?

Oh J.L.J.! That last line just broke my heart. I don't have any advice for you, but I can tell you there are better men out there. Not all men are dogs or run hot and cold. There are men that are loving, tender and loyal.
