What happened to the other posts?

I think a moderator got carried away and instead of deleting the 4-letter word I missed (and I apologize for), they deleted the posts and any references to the posts.

I'll go home and watch it tonight to see if what I said compares to what is said in the movie.

They did a commercial that was exactly like that scene for some wireless company. It had something to do with no matter how long you talk and leave messages, you'll always have minutes. Did anyone else see this?

Mike hangs up.

He dials again.

MIKE: Hi, Nikki. This is Mike, again. I just called because it sounded like your machine might've cut me off before I gave you my number, and also to say sorry for calling so late, but you were still there when I left the Dresden, so I knew I'd get your machine. Anyway, my number is... (beep)

Mike calls back right away.

NIKKI (recorded): Hi. This is Nikki. Leave a message. (beep)

MIKE: 213-555-4679. That's all. I just wanted to leave my number. I don't want you to think I'm weird, or desperate or something... (he regrets saying it immediately) ... I mean, you know, we should just hang out. That's it. No expectations. Just, you know, hang out. Bye. (beep)

He hangs up.

He dials.

MIKE: I just got out of a six-year relationship. Okay? That should help to explain why I'm acting so weird. It's not you. It's me. I just wanted to say that. Sorry. (pause) This is Mike. (beep)

He dials again.

NIKKI (recorded): Hi. This is Nikki. Leave a message. (beep)

MIKE: Hi, Nikki. This is Mike again. Could you just call me when you get in? I'll be up for awhile, and I'd just rather talk to you in person instead of trying to squeeze it all... (beep)

He dials yet again.

MIKE: Hi, Nikki. Mike. I don't think this is working out. I think you're great, but maybe we should just take some time off from each other. It's not you, really. It's me. It's only been six months...

NIKKI: (Live, in person. she picks up the line) Mike?

That is funny, it wasnt that bad though. I still havent heard anything so....moving on.....

One of the rings on my phone, along with Napoleon's Tina come get some ham, is the neighbor on that movie saying, "Hey Peter man, check out channel nine, check out this chick!" and Milton saying, "Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler" That's the one that I use for my work number, when I hear Milton I dont answer.

So that guy never ended up calling me. I went back to the bar that I met him in and found out why. There is a waitress there that he has had a crush on for a very long time. He was either using me to make her jealous, or she was jealous of me, but now they're dating. HAHAHA. "I'm just a little T.O'd" to quote Napoleon, but I'm kind of flattered that he picked me to make her jealous.

Well, that kind of bites.

How is the dating scene in Boise? It appears pretty fair here to me, but most of my single female friends say there aren't many good single men to choose from.

Yeah, it bites. I think that it was just evil to do that, but I am flattered (this is me trying to be positive).

Dating scene, I guess, is okay. I would have to agree with all of your female friends about the single men though. My recent record with dating isnt that great though, so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Napoleon festival is this weekend. Anyone want to join me. I have a Trail Blazer so we could fit at least 6 in that thing, 7 might be pushing it.

There were quite a few of us talking about making a pilgramige to the Napoleon festival. The timing just didn't work out though. Have fun! I'd love to know how it was.

I will take some pictures and post them on here for everyone. I'm going to try to find a sweet t-shirt as a souvenir.
