I have been trying to get set up for BSA e-filing for the past month. I got my certificate down-loaded and am set up on the bsa e-filing site. I have spoken to so many people I can't keep track of them all. My questions are for anyone who currently submits CTRs electronically. Do you file batches electronically? I spoke to our system provider and someone from BSA e-filing and the information they both gave me is for magnetic filing through DCC. This requires mailing something in like a diskette, correct? I thought that you could file batches electronically. Am I wrong and you can only file CTRs individually? I am very confused.
We file approx 250 CTRs a month using BSA-Efile....I don't know what your volume is like, but 250 really isn't that bad when your doing it electronically. And yes, we file them individually. I have no idea about batch filing.
When using BSA E-file for batches, do you submit a PDF version of a FINCEN 104 form or is there some sort of special file layout utilized? I am wondering about future system integration with our current operations...
