I wish I may I wish I might

I wish I could find the Reg P Examination procedures. I wish I had the site so I could locate the procedures.

I wish the Congress, the Regulators, and the Consumer Advocacy Groups would take next year off and allow us to actually digest and have a chance to implement all that they have thrown at us, non-stop for the past several years.

I wish lenders wouldn't turn a deaf ear!

...I had a dollar for every time I have had to explain to our lenders that the three-day lead time for the HOEPA disclosure isn't the same as for rescission.

I have shown them on a calendar, by using my hands to block out each day on an "air calendar," and other means. They're just hung up on being able to date the note on the same day as the application (we do a lot of that around here).

I also wish that legislators would have to eliminate one regulation for every new one they introduce, or simplify one for every one they amend (so long as it's not HUD doing the "simplifying" ).

I wish I get passed the OCC exam this week and next with flying colors

I wish things wouldn't change, just for a year. No changes in regulations, procedures, staff or staff responsibilities. Give me a chance to catch my breath and clear all the confusion in my head. I know change is good, it keeps your mind sharp and things interesting, but I sure could use a little less interesting right now!

I wish I had more time to digest the wealth of information on BOL and to enjoy the Bankers' Threads discussions.

I wish that everytime I called another bank employee they wouldn't begin the conversation with "Oh no! What did I do wrong THIS time?"

I'd gone to nursing school.

Very bad & confusing week. I think I'm having an information overload and overall mental meltdown.

RANT WARNING!!!
Wouldn't it be great to have a little time to really digest all the changes? time to implement them throughout the org.? time to test all the affected areas and retrain where needed? time to catch up on reviewing other areas that did not have changes? time to get in all that mandatory training? time to really review some new products that will make our lives easier and more compliant? time to catch up on some of those other "to dos"?

I wish when the new year started that the slate was clean, uncompleted audits were forgiven and that HMDA and CRA were ready for filing. I wish those customers didn't live in PO boxes.

Close, 6.45 with 1/2 hour for lunch. Try to leave at 4 or at least no later than 4.30.

Remember I'm still used to government hours, where you get an hour for lunch and every other Friday off. Sigh. Some days I miss the Union.

I wish ... there was a place that I could:
... exchange ideas with other compliance professionals,
... use as a sounding board for ideas,
... read about new regulations and changes in the industry,
... wait! We have this. It's called BOL!!!
My wishes have been answered.
