Previously when we had a customer who was changing to a different type of checking account, we completed a new signature card, which mean't we had to deal with getting the other signers in the bank to sign. Is that how other banks handle this or or you possibly using a form of some sort that the cutomer signs requesting the change? If you are using a form, would you be willing to share it with me. My email address is dtimberlake@c-f-b.com. Thanks for your help.

We have a generic form for all CIF maintenance requests (change of address, phone etc.). We allow one customer to sign that form and then provide new TIS disclosures. I'm not at work this morning but I'll try to remember to send you a copy when I get in.

If you're registered I'd be happy to share a maintenance form that we use, as well. Is much easier than redoing signature cards.

TexTrainer, I am registered, but since I do not post often, I am not sure what I need to do. I am very interested in getting a copy of your form. Thanks

I would greatly appreciate a copy of the form that you use. My E-mail address is 'jroberts@firstreliance.com'

Also, I am curious as to how you get the proper disclosures to your customers. Do you mail the customers the disclosures? Do you print the disclosures while the customers wait?

Thanks,
Jim

Another question. Is a customer signature required for a personal checking to personal checking account type change? What about a business checking to business checking account type change, is the signature of an authorizes signer required? The Call Center at our bank wants to find a way to allow customers to initiate an account type change without making the customer come into the bank.

Thanks,
Jim

Does anyone have an answer for these questions?
