Does anyone treat log-in to one's account via online banking website as customer contact (re: dormant account issue).

How about email contact transmitted from your secure website?

Our online banking system does not interface with our core processing system to update the fields necessary for this to work for us at this time.

Refer to your State laws for the definition of contact when determining dormancy for escheat purposes. For internal purposes - that is totally up to your own policy.
