DVR Working overtime taping Big Brother so I can watch House!

I set the VCR last night for it - can't wait.

I must watch too much TV. I like almost every show that we talk about in these threads!

We got into the repeats this summer, and just last week rented the first DVD that had the first 4 episodes...FANTASTIC SHOW...

I can't wait. I think it has such a great twist to the typical medicine show.

I have heard that this show is the bomb. I am willing to venture away from sports and histroy channel/discovery channel to check this out. What time is it on?

For those who don't know: Each show follows the exact same plot pattern.

Something happens to someone... or several people.
The doctors have their witty banter
The patient is admitted but House could care less... at first
The younger doctors banter while House goes through his yawning dialoge with the higher ups at the hospital
House confronts the doctors on what they think it is and says they're wrong OR (to toss it up a little) lets them try their ideas.
The ideas fail OR work but cause another problem
The music gets more frantic as the doctors try to figure out why the patient is dying
House goes through his whole whiny, "I hate my job and your rules deal."
House researches with the docs while their little sub-plots play out
Right before dying or something else tragic happening, the cure is found. YAY!
Everyone looks at House like the rebel hero he is as he pops some more pills and hobbles off.
More sub-plots with the younger doctors or house

Did I like the show? HECK YEAH!... at first. Now the episodes are terribly predictable... it won't stop me from giving the first episode of this season a shot ... no pun intended.

Sela Ward?!!!! Is this the perfect show?

I used to stay home on Saturday nights to watch Sela on "Sisters". How pathetic is that?

Anyone planning to watch the new show "Bones" right before it (what is it with these pithy one-word titles?)??? I've heard it's supposed to be another good one. . .

Actually, at least on the East Coast, it's right after House, not before it. I am planning to check it out.

My mistake. I guess it is on here before House, too. I don't know why I had it in my mind it was on after. Anyway, I had already set the DVR up this morning to get it, and I had searched for it by name, not by time, so I didn't really pay any attention. I probably won't watch it until tomorrow anyway, because I've got a meeting at church tonight.

I missed the last few minutes of House--after they figured out what was wrong with the guy on death row. . .can anyone fill me in? Was his medical condition going to be used for an appeal???

I did enjoy this show. It was my "first" time seeing it (I saw parts of it on the VCR at a branch I was at). It is clearly a FOX show: House is way too cool and sharp. Everything is way too overdramatic. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable hour and i plan to watch it regularly.

That was a great episode.

Good episode, but it wasn't one of the better episodes of the show. It does, however, set every last character up for growth this season...

PS: Watched Bones too. Good show. Emily Deschanel (Bones) is even better looking than Sela Ward!

I saw the last 2 minutes of Bones as I eagerly awaited House: NO WAY BF! Sela is.... roar!

Did anyone else feel that Dr. House was not his usual demeaning character. Seems like the previous eposides he had more of a "harsh" character towards his patients. Anyways... was a good show.

P.S. I too watched Bones.. seems it will be a good show.. I was amazed that she got the skull back together... all those little pieces..hhmm..
