Because most people when they read this riddle.. start focusin on all the other lines and totally forget about the first line.. What is greater than God.. we had that one here at our bank.. and everyone was discussing the rest of the riddle and totally forgot the main word..."God".. don't feel bad..lots of people can't get the answer.

I read it a long time ago, and before the question was asked, they stated that kindegartners (sp?) could get the answer, but adults could not. I thought it was interesting.
