I agree with renniks-keep it basic. I am in the process of revising our training, both product and compliance. We determined, as renniks noted, the attention span is not very long, and if any of the new hires is inexperienced, it is that much more difficult. We are starting with "Mortgage 101" which includes a history of our institution, our expectations of the loan officer, loan terminology, calculations, etc. then sales, product and compliance training (spread over a week or so). We think it will be a better approach by non inundating them and assuming they know certain things. We also show 2 videos-one on fair lending and one on privacy. Our first go around with this is in early November.
Good luck
