I am looking for a list of examples of "suspicious activity", particulaly in the lending area (but other areas also), that would be reported on a SAR. For example, if someone submits a financial statement with false information, or provides false information on a loan application (and it meets the dollar criteria), is it reportable? Does FinCEN have a list of examples, or is anyone aware of a list?

You might want to handle this through the private forums or private messages. IMHO - The open discussion of loan fraud related issues and thresholds for reporting is not the best thing to do with anonymous posters.

Look at SAR Trends publications on FinCEN Web Site.

Brenda, I can't find it on FinCEN's site. Could you please provide a more specific link. Thanks!

On the FinCEN site, click "press room," then "reports." You are looking for the SAR Activity Guide(s).
