DMD, I just finished writing my wifes resume. If you go to google and search for resumes you can find a ton of examples. Narrow you search by putting in audit and you should get some things that you can use...at least something to get you started.

Google George O'Leary. He has some ideas that may be helpful.

Also, if you are looking for formating help, Microsoft has several templates that you can download into word. I think if you click here you can search for "resume."

I have to have one on file for our external auditors and our examiners to review.

Keep in mind that what you're being asked for is not a resume that you would use to go out and get another job, but really are being asked for a document that simply describes your work history and experience.

A job-hunting resume is a piece of sales literature - it's designed to call attention to the best features of the product - you - and to minimize any flaws. It's purpose is to catch the attention of the hiring manager and prompt a desire to find out more.

What you need for this is more of a background and details about the various positions you've held and jobs you've performed over the past 30 years with your company. It doesn't have to be flashy and it doesn't have to sell. It simply needs to be a factual statement about the things you have done.

I agree with MB...mine wasn't a flashy "resume" it was more of a biographical summary. I had all the background stuff (degree, certifications, etc) then all of my continuing education training listed as well.
