I know the examiners must be able to verify all information on the LAR back to the loan file. Does that mean that when we calculate the Rate Spread and get the Census Tract info off the FFIEC's website, we need to print out that information and put it in the file also?

What do your loan officers do about all this information?

Thanks

Our procedure is to print the rate spread calculator and place it in the file, however I know of no regulatory requirement to do so. Our geocoding is done by our flood vendor and appears on our determination form.

The rate spread is calculated automatically in our platform software (which also produces a LAR). We don't put anything about the calculation in the loan file.

I also do not put anything in the file about the census tract info. The examiners do their own verification of census tracts anyway and I have never heard them say it needed to be in the file.

I only print out the FFIEC rate spread calculation if there is a rate spread hit. The geocode info appears on the flood cert, if there is one. But mostly on declines, there's no flood cert so I print out the FFIEC geocode info and place it in the file....
