He will have to win every individual immunity except one if he's the only guy from his team out there. That's not very realistic.

You know, RandomName and Bengals Fan, you two make a lot of sense too. I'm like a willow in the wind; I can bend back and forth easily! I guess that Terry would have been smart to barter with the idol (especially as it appears that he does do that next week) but I can completely understand looking out for number one. If he gets booted, I guess we'll find out if that was the right decision or not. This has been a good season.

all good points above...but, I think trying to win as many individuals as possible and only using the idol when you lose a competition is the only way to insure yourself of going further.

Terry is so strong, that even if he did what you suggest, chances are he would be the first out of the five to go unless he won individual immunity.

I think everyone has given a good reason for playing the game several different ways.

I'm looking forward to this week and seeing the fallout from Shane. He looked absolutely shocked that anyone would write his name down to be booted!!!

I wonder what color the sky is in Shane's world. He did looked shocked they voted for him and he shouldn't have been. Who else would the minority have voted for. Shane is a giant tool. I like Cirie, Austin and Terry (in that order).

I thought for a minute there that perhaps Terry and Austin had convinced Bruce and Danielle to join them, and oust Aras - but it didn't happen! Part of me feels Bruce wasn't convinced enough. It is soooo interesting to see how people play the game - especially after the merger - when they have to remember the bootees will sit on the jury.

I think Terry did what he had to do trying to bring them over, but is now exposed. Clearly, Bruce and Danielle did not buy Terrys story, and frankly, I was a bit suprised they didn't.

And why is Shane still there?????

Not sure why they focused on Aras, other than he is "strong". Shane is one of those guys that could slide through to the end-they may have missed the opportunity to take him out.

They probably thought if they could get Aras out Shane would crumble. He tends to do that.

I think they are keeping Shane around knowing that anyone who goes to F2 with Shane will win because nobody will vote for Shane.

I can't believe Bruce hasn't swung to the other team. Unless he has an alliance with Cirie or somebody else that we are not aware of.

The next few weeks will be very interesting!

I think that Bruce feels he is higher in that chain than he really is. My guess is that Danielle and Bruce felt they have a better chance sticking with their team than switching. If they did switch, clearly they would be the first 2 picked off from the new team.

Well, at this point, I'm rooting for Terry to keep winning immunity challenges. I think it would be cool as heck for him to win out, and be standing there with the extra idol at the end? The only way they manage to get him to lose that idol without killing one of their own members is to trust each other to vote 3 for him and 3 for Sally IF one of them doesn't win individual immunity.

Also, now that the cat is out of the bag, and the other team knows he has the super immunity idol, will they have the guts to vote him, knowing one of them is going home when they do?

I'm gleaning bits and pieces here but what happened last night? I couldn't see it because my beloved Badger hockey team was kicking the lard out of Maine and I couldn't miss that! :-)

That is a great point, BF...I hadn't thought of that.

Anon, boiled down, Terry revealed to his team that he had the idol. His plan was to tell Bruce and Danielle that the rest of their team did not have those two in their plans to go to final four, so he first spoke to bruce and said if we can get Danielle to join us, will you. Bruce said yes. Then they told Danielle Terry had the idol, and he offered it to her in exchange for her joining them. They did not and htey voted out Austin.

I was so disappointed that Danielle and Bruce did not switch over to join Terry, Sally, and Austin. If they had done so, they would have been in the final five. Then with Danielle having the immunity idol from Terry, she should have made it through at least one more tribal council.

Maybe they felt they have a better chance of beating their Casayan teammates in individual immunity challenges down the road, vs. having to compete against Terry, Austin and Sally.

If Austin had the idol then Aras was gone. Would it have been against the rules for Terry to hand it to Austin right then and there? If he was willing to give it to Danielle to get Aras out, I assume he'd give it to Austin for the same result.

I was really hoping for the switch. 6 vs. 2 isn't likely to be too interesting next week.

I think ANY immunity object has to be given to someone BEFORE the vote.

A gutsy move would've been for Terry to give the Exile Island idol to Sally in secret before TC. Then, when asked by Jeff if he wants to give up immunity, he forks over the immunity necklace to Austin. Danielle knows that Terry found the idol, and presumably told the Casayans. So they would figure Terry is giving up the necklace because he can bust out the idol. So then they vote for Sally, not realizing that Terry is actually completely vulnerable. She whips out the idol, and Aras gets the boot.

A related move might've worked last week, if Terry had given the necklace to Nick and secretly tossed the idol over to Austin before TC.

I'm not convinced that Danielle told her tribemates just yet. I don't think she completely bought what Terry was telling her, but it planted a seed of doubt and she might have just needed some more time to think about what she wants to do.

Terry showed Danielle the idol, but she maybe keeping that secret in her pocket for now as levrage. I don't know what kind, but you never know what people are thinking.

Do we have the scoop for this week yet?
