Things You Must Believe To Remain A Republican Today:
A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.
If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.
A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.
Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and the Clintons.
The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.
Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.
Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for Governor of California as a Republican.
HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.
Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is Socialism.
Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.
The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.
Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.
A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.
Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.
The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.
You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.
What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.
Those born to privilege achieve success on their own, but that all of their customers are lazy and stupid.
You must agree that racking up huge amounts of debt and handing it off to future generations is worth the few thousand extra in tax breaks given to your wealthy "investors."
You must believe that the best person to represent the United States in the UN is someone who doesn't believe the UN should exist.
You must believe that profitable pollution is perfectly ok, and that all science is bunk when it cuts into profits.
You must support prayer in schools, as long as no one prays to Allah or Buddha.
You must believe that rushing to Washington to vote to keep a dead woman's tube in place is more important than seeing thousands of people drown in a hurricane.

They all ring pretty true to me. A little hyperbole in some of them but overall, relatively accurate.

Well, apparently, you don't have to think at all to be a Democrat, just "cut and paste" myopic statements from bumperstickers.

No glass house here my friend. I openly and vehemently criticize both sides when criticism is called for. I happen to believe that most of what is said above is true. So, no criticism is warranted.
Funny thing is...you follow the conservative trend of attacking the material rather than responding to the issues. That is the modus operandi of the right wing when they are challenged on the issues.

If you believe what you say is true, why are you posting it Unregistered?

Funny thing is...you don't have a sense of humor. My post was a joke. You may not have thought it was funny, but you need not try to turn everything into a fight.
As far as responding to the issues, if a well thought out article had been posted on any of these issues, versus the slogans that were posted, and I had time to read the article, I might then respond. The original poster set himself up for a joke about "thinking" by posting a list of things Republicans must "believe" that he merely "cut and pasted." Responding with humor to what is a humorous post, that strikes a chord of truth with liberals, was just what the doctor ordered.
...the doctor also orders ignoring angry anons.
My joke was not acrimonious. Your posts are.... So, away with you small minded troll. I have no intention to fight you, so you may continue to swing your fists at the air. Feel free to criticize me at every turn, I will offer no further defense to your ad hominem attacks.

Once again z-man you show your classless and poor sense of humor. You really don't get it do you? You denegrate and attack on a constant basis and then attempt to "take the high road" when in reality you define the gutter. I saw you do it to MichelleDawn and I've locked horns with you before. I don't like you, I don't like your methods and I don't think you have very much of value to say.
