We are getting to big to continue classroom annual training for all topics. Are any of you using another method, i.e. intranet? (I've heard on interactive products like this that sound quite interesting). I would like to hear about products and experience...We are a mid=sized community bank, nothing international, etc. Thanks

We have had a good experience with BankersEdge.

It is not the lowest cost provider, but it has strong admin/reporting functions, can remember where someone was if they have to log-off to help a customer, etc.

We have just decided to sign a contract with BAI after several months of comparing BAI and Bankers Edge. Our compliance officer currently uses BE and has decided to stay with them at this time. They did not offer a wide variety of other types of training (sales, lending, etc) that we were looking to offer.

We were really impressed with the courses that BAI offers and the price was actually much better than BE.

A lot of it really depends on what type of training you are looking to do. BAI, for an additional cost, has software training as well as special packages for management and leadership training where as BE tends to be heavy on the compliance side.

For the reasons that TX lists, that's why we chose BAI.

We use BankersEdge and have been particularly pleased with their recent release of job specific modules (such as BSA for Tellers, BSA for Lenders, etc.) and the job specific case studies. Regulators have really been focusing on job specific training and while this certainly eliminate the need for face-to-face training, it helps to keep time out of the office for training minimized. The time we can spend together can be better utilized for addressing corrective actions and best practices as opposed to basic compliance training.

I have used BankersEdge for a number of years and I have been very happy with the product and the customer support. In addition, it doesn't hurt that it is also the product that the OCC uses to train examiners.

I use remote access to connect to a computer in the office I want to train and they put me on speakerphone, so that I can talk as I go through a powerpoint or whatever.

We've used BVS and are getting ready to switch to Banker's Academy - if you would like to pm me, I can give you more detail on why we are making that switch.

We have been using BAI for about a year and it's been a great help in tracking, scheduling and managing the entire process.

I am in the market also for another form of training other than face to face and had a conference call with Bankers Academy yesterday. I was really impressed how interactive and easy the training was. They are also willing to customize the program to our policies and procedures and offer as little or as much training as we would like to have. And to top it off, the price was very reasonable. However I have just begun my research so if anyone would like to share a contact or website for BAI I would like to check them out also.

We have been working with Carol Buchheit at BAI. She has been wonderful and very patient with us as we have done our research. She walked us through the system and even gave us a demo sign-on to try a couple of the programs.

Their web-site is www.bankerstraining.com

We have used Harland's e-Academy (formerlly Compliance Coach). The courses were good, but managing the groups was inefficient for us. We are now using ABA's internet training and while it is pricy, the variety of courses is unreal. Much easier to assign courses on an individual basis, i.e. new employees get the intro courses, 1 or 2 people with a specific issue can get what they need without creating a new group. Of course, this depends on how many empoyees you have.
