Our mortgage company did a determination and it came back not in a flood zone; the bank did a determination and it came bace in a flood zone. This is two different vendors; the one that states not in a flood zone indicates on the determination that the property is partially in a flood zone but the structure is not; the determination that indicates it is in a flood zone does not state this. I am really not sure how to pursue this, could anyone give me some direction? Thank you

Why did you perform two flood determinations? Is it because the mortgage company is separate from the bank, or is it due to a funding issue?

The lender must determine which is correct. While you can rely on a third party vendor, the lender is responsible for the accuracy. I would contact the vendor and let them know that you have a discrepancy and ask them to re-verify their determination.

The vendor that has determined the property is in a flood zone s/b contacted and informed of where the improvements lie w/in the area so that they may determine if they think the improvement is in a flood zone or not.
