We are wanting to advertise to our employees about a special CD offer. This is our own site internally we logged into every day. We would offer the product for a certain amount of time. Is this considered an exempt type of advertisment? Thanks for the help.

If you are trying to inform or train your employees about the product in order to offer it to non-employees, and not to sell it to the employees, it's not an ad. But if your intent is to promote the product to your employees, it's an ad, and there isn't an exception you can use.

If it's truly an ad, why would you not want to treat your employees as well as you would the public? They are consumers, too, after all.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we are trying to sell our employees the product so it would be an ad. I just was not sure since it was internal and not to train or go outside our bank, if it was considered an ad.
