Anyone conducted a large bank CRA Self Assessment lately and have an example to share? I'm more confused on how best to approach the review of Investment & Service peformance. Any help with all 3 Tests is greatly appreciated. Thnx!

Check out Banker's Tools. There is a great self-assessment tool there that I use.

Contact your regulator and ask them to explain the "Core Tables" used to illustrate a bank's CRA performance. It contains the demographic information used by examiners when comparing your bank's numbers.

Also, think about the message you are trying to communicate to your Board. Then base your assessment on that data. The main point is that you want your Board to be prepared for their exam. Examiners will sometimes suggest that bankers actually prepare a PE for the Board.

I would be interested and would appreciate an approximation of the time, and number of people involved in doing the self assessment including the board report. Plus any other costs you incurred in putting together an in house analysis.

Could you write a PE with the data collected? How much time did it take to do that?

Any information from anyone doing this would be appreciated.
