I was going to say On Eagle's Wings too! I didn't know if many other people would know that song.

I love that song!! (Neal Peart is a good songwriter and one of the all time great drummers of rock 'n roll.)

(Showing my age) I only have this album on vinyl. I'm about to go get the CD because the only stuff they play on the radio is Limelight, Tom Sawyer, and occasionally Red Barchetta. I also like YYZ from the same album.

Add Ted Kirkpatrick (Tourniquet) to the list- brilliant in both regards.

Don't know if I'd say better, but Stewart Copeland is right up there with him.

Phil Ehart is pretty dang good - not as splashy as Copeland or Ehart, but very solid at some complex stuff.

Ginger Baker was also excellent.

Not necessarily a song, but sometimes, just a note can do it to me. Like the high note in Memories from Cats, or Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. "...Close your eyes and let music set you free..." Kind of makes your throat catch.

Heck, I cry during the Star Spangled Banner!

A personal song that can make me cry every time I hear it, and leaves others baffled by this is by Todd Agnew. The song is "Reached Down" and I'll aste the lyrics. I first heard this song about six months after I had recovered from the deep dark total depression I felt after being robbed, so it has a lot of personal significance to me.

Reached Down
Todd Agnew

I fell so far I did not know anyone could save me
I could not find a light as far as I could see
My body lay broken at the bottom of my prison
My hope washed away as the waves crashed over me

Chorus:
You reached down and saved me
You parted the sea so I could breathe
You reached down and saved me
You pulled me from all that was drowning me

I could not see the top of the well in which I'd fallen
I was choking on the rising tide of filth and shame
You pulled me from the mouth of [censored] so You could hold me
You knew You'd save me long before I called Your name
