Is there a way to e-mail a BOL discussion thread to someone other than copy/paste in to an e-mail system?

Go to the address bar above, copy the url address and paste it in the body of the email and that will send a link to the thread.

This is the only way I know to do it.

If the thread is all on one screen, you can Alt-PrintScreen and them paste into an e-mail

On my system I go to the menu bar, click File, then Send, then Page by e-mail. An Outlook window appears with the page as an attachment.

Go to the top of the thread or to any of its individual postings and take a look at the icons to the right of the "Post Extras" caption at the bottom of the posting. The right-most icon is used to e-mail that posting (with links to the rest of the thread) to anyone whose email address you know. You also get the opportunity to complete a message that explains why you're sending it, or just to say Wassup?

The e-mail actually is auto-generated and will appear to come from mpetry (Michele Petry), the tech maven at BOL.

Learn something new everyday. I've never noticed those icons before, guess I never got past the tag lines.

One ahead of you for the day, dpersful. I also learned what "port" meant this morning. I always thought it was a place where people parked boats or a syrupy sweet wine.

John may have brought him back for a reason, so it's probably too early to say 'Yay!'

Spelling correct. It's
  • CRA data scrub time
  • HMDA LAR scrub time
  • CTR exemption renewal time
  • examiners expected soon
  • enough cold weather for any two people my age
  • time to think about filing taxes
  • time to get ready for annual meeting (proxy prep)
  • Etc., I'm sure!

So I thought it was appropriate to roll out the posterboy for frustration, my old pal Sisyphus.
