I tried to to do a search before posting and came up empty.
If a checking account is denied, based on information from a consumer reporting agency. Does the Adverse Action, have to specially state reasons why the denial? For example, credit score, current judgements, bankrupcies. Should these reasons be stated specifically, like on the credit side?

Unless the request included a line of credit, Reg B does not apply. But FCRA does. You don't need to cite reasons for denial, but you have to indicate your denial was based on information from a consumer reporting agency (credit bureau) and provide the name, address, and contact number for the bureau.

Just to clarify what John is saying: Reg B requires reasons for denial, but Reg B only applies to Credit requests - not checking accounts.
